I received this email the other day concerning 
Apartheid in South Africa:

wakeup asshole, apartheid is dead and buried for 4 years

CUNT! 

Regarding the info on your web site re tax etc., someone caught u
for a sucker! Blacks didn't pay half the tax that the
whites pay, they recieved free land unlike the whites who
had to buy theirs, they are uneducated savages who maim
and kill for no reason. These savages now run the
country, bribery, corruption, theft etc. are at the order
of the day, and these criminals sit in the government. 

You don't like Capitalism. Shock for u cunt, these blacks are
more of a capatilist than the whites can ever be! They
live for all the luxuries like BMW's, Merc's, Cell
Phones, Jewelry, etc. They will do anything to get it,
beg, steal, rob, etc. They have absolutely no shame, it's
not a shameful event to go to jail. 

But ask them to pay for basic services like electricity, water,
sewerage. Oh no, they can't afford it all of a sudden.
Why? Because they got so used to the Whites providing
everything for free, now why must they pay now? 

We got to pay school fees over and above taxes to put our kids in
school, they don't pay a cent. The reason we have a 22:1
pupil to teacher ratio is because the parents pay extra
to the school to hire additional teachers to achieve this
ratio. I can't see how u can still think that the whites
are better off, the Teaching Departments are run by the
black government(sic) which by the way are mostly
illiterate because they spend their youth burning down
schools instead of learning. 

So catch a wake up and get yourself fucking educated cunt. I will
at anytime swop this fuckup country for yours, just say
the word. You are welcome to South Africa, or what's left
of it! Please get your fucking uninformed ass over here
and get yourself shot or highjacked for $5-00. Let's see
your pityful opinion about the 'poor' blacks then.

And so I just wanted to take some
 time out and write a meager response to
 this hideous letter. 

Let me start out by saying that I do not stand for 
racism of anykind, hatred of any kind, sexism, lookism, 
ageism, orprejudice based on one's choice of religion or sexual
orientation. I can't understand why someone would hate or
dislike or judge or look down upon another human being
based on generalizations. We all deserve the right to
live and love and be treated equally. And what happened
and still is going on in South Africa with the
black/white conflict (and also all the prejudice that
goes on all over the world) is incomprehensible to me.
Hatred is unexplainable. I have been accused more than
once (believe me) of being blind and naive and ignorant.
And it's true that I'm young and that I haven't had a
quarter of my life experiences. Perhaps this is why I
can't grasp why anyone would be so stupid as to hate a
person because he's black or to tease and torture another
because he's gay or to demean someone because she's a
woman. Why do such things go on? I know it's headstrong
and insane of me to wish that the world wasn't the way it
is and to hope that one day we might improve as a race,
the human race. To hope that one day we will be able to
celebrate our differences and revel in our common rises
and falls. We are all so much alike even though we don't
want to admit it. And all we have to live for is each
other. 

And to the racists of South Africa, to this one 
especially, have you any right to judge? You call blacks
 "uneducatedsavages who maim and kill for no reason." 
 But who kept them uneducated? Who took away their 
rights andself-respect and tortured them so entirely until
 they finally saw no other way out? Can you say that you would
do differently? If someone stole your right to live,
would you sit calmly in your rundown matchbox of a house
and take it, take all they did to you? If someone took
away your home and moved your family hundreds of miles
from you and then said, "You can't go here or here
or here, and you must use this bathroom and this bus. You
must have a bad education and earn low to no wages. You
must carry a passbook. And if you do something that I
don't want you to do I will beat you and haul your ass to
jail and maybe I'll murder you, and no justice will be
done for your death. And your family will starve and your
baby will die. And all your children and their children
after them will live and die like you did, in stinking
filthy rat holes without food and without education and
without rights," would you take it lying down? How
dare you. How dare you judge and condemn and critize.
Have you ever lived like them? Have you had to endure
such treatment? What is anyone to do in such a situation?
I know that Americans would rise up in bloody protests if
our rights were taken away. Charleton Heston once said
that the most essential of all American rights is the
right to bare arms. "How are we to protect all our
other rights without the right to bare arms?" And
perhaps I don't agree with this entirely, but it does
make a statement on American mentality and on the
mentality of most human beings. We will not stand for
opression, we will not except a lower position. You have
only yourself to blame for what has happened in your
country. I can't understand how such a government could
come into and remain in power, a government based on
hatred and ignorance. 

It is true that I have not seen firsthand what has gone on and
what did go on in South Africa, I have not experienced it
myself. And so perhaps I can't be definite in my opinions
and beliefs. But I know that what was done to the blacks
was wrong. Hatred and prejudice of any kind is wrong.
When most of the whites of a country are living in luxury
and extravagance while the blacks are living in poverty
and filth, something fishy is going on. The declaration
of supposed white supremacy is one of the curses of the
human race. How dare you live like a millionaire in your
shining white house with your black servants and your
gleaming cars, and then whine like a child when justice
is finally served. How dare you have the absolute
pomposity to proclaim yourself more deserving than every
other human being. How dare you complain. 

I may never have lived in South Africa (I may never have
inhabited the great Land of Hatred and Ignorance), but I
believe that you are the one of us who is uninformed,
"CUNT."
