The Life and Times of Jesus Christ

Just another depiction of The Virgin and Her Son

This painting offends my mother beyond belief, but it is not meant to be sacreligious at all. It is about how we glorify Mary and think she was some ultra human, when she had problems just like everyone. She's been made a martyr. And the boner has nothing to do with actually fucking Mary, I think its purpose is more like mocking our seriousness when it comes to religion. Words: pure?, martyr, the son of your god, fucked by god once again, years of bondage: 33.

The Outcasts

I believe that one of the major facets of Christianity is to forgive and forget and to love unconditionally and to never judge (let he among you without sin cast the first stone). Jesus himself was an outcast, and he befriended fellow untouchables, like whores and tax collectors. This is a more current example. With a black man, a Republican law maker, a whore, and a gay man. Words: afro, black pride, X, limp dick, republican, jew, slut, diseased, protection, sailor

Flat nosed and starving

Jesus was a black man. This painting is about how we have delusions when it comes to religion/Jesus. Hitler preached about aryian supremacy and Christianity, when Jesus was neither white nor Christian. Words: flat-nosed and starving, tar baby, crown: award for worthiness, Hitler: hero to your "Christian" brothers, ostracized, dated: pre-invention of "Christianity" TM.

A loose copy of an Andy Warhol silk screen with my own personal background. This, though, was done by hand and not silk screen.

The (Literal) Last Supper

This is the painting that astranged me from my art teacher, who is a very ferventMormon. A literal last supper in which the disciples actually drink the blood ofChrist and eat his broken body. Words (from top left): Christian, Supper is served, chomp, drenched in the blood of Chirst, squirt, oh happy day, Christian, clink, bloody flesh, chomp, Jew, fill er up, your cup runeth over, a body broken, betrayl, dinero (death), this is great wine Lord.

After the Descension

A play on the typical Madonna and Christ child paintings. This one instead of showing Jesus in her arms at the beginning of the life circle, shows him instead at the very end of it, after his body has been taken from the tomb.

A Family Reunion: the Resurrection

This the painting with most words that I've ever done. It takes a realist's point of view of the resurrection. Seeing as I don't believe he was the son of God, and thusly didn't have magical powers, I don't see how a resurrection and ascension into heaven could have actually occurred. There are some historians, though, who believe that Jesus was drugged (by the wizard in the left corner) a la Romeo and Juliet and appeared dead on the cross and in the tomb. He "resurrected" when he woke up from the potion and then he went on to marry Mary Magdalene (the whore in the right corner) and have kids. Also in the painting are Lazarus and the other little girl Jesus brought back to life, a man possessed by demons who asked Jesus to put the demons into a herd of swine (who consequently drowned themselves), a blind man made to see, and an ex-leper. This painting was bought by a Christian church and it hangs in their youth room. Words (top to bottom and left to right): Divine Light, strings, APPLAUSE, 'The Golden Rule,' Miracle Number One (blood), Miracle Number Six, Family Reunion (Not pictured: Mary and Joseph, 12 fisherman, miracles, parables, followers, children, Pilate, Harod, God), Working Scientific Theory (sleeping potion), Back from the dead (they were 'only sleeping'), Salvation, possessed Daemonic Swine, 'EYE can see,' Poor Ex-leper, whore (Mary), barefoot and pregnant
